Thank you for visiting Sandwich Community Television online. SCT is located in the Sandwich Industrial Park, 11 Jan Sebastian Drive, Unit 10, in the beautiful town of Sandwich, Massachusetts.
SCT provides communication among local residents and organizations by producing and broadcasting programs that focus on local people, issues and services. We have weekly "live" government meetings of the Sandwich Board of Selectmen, School Committee and the Finance Committee. Sandwich Historical Commission meetings are recorded and rebroadcast and all other meetings are rebroadcast throughout the week on channel 15. Each year we "go live" for Annual Town Meeting and any Special Town Meeting(s) during the year.
Individuals and community groups may also express their thoughts, perspectives, and ideas by producing their own television shows. We also cable-cast"bicycled" shows. These are shows produced at other cable access facilities, requested by SCT residents.
Our workshops educate local residents and others in studio and field production and editing. Workshop graduates can go on to develop their own local television programs, or volunteer on other producer's shows. Equipment includes a three-camera studio, video camcorders for remote shoots, non-linear video editing suites equipped with Final Cut Pro 7. You may also call anytime and schedule an individual lesson that fits your schedule.
SCT is an independent, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, with the majority of funding provided by cable franchise fees and cable company support. Additional revenue comes from donations, fund raising and client services.
