  The First Annual 5K MONSTER DASH

Sandwich Community Television was proud to have its first annual 5K Monster Dash, which was held on Halloween (Saturday, October 31st). People of all ages came to participate. They put on their best costumes and ran and walked through beautiful Downtown Sandwich!  The Race began at 9AM at the HT. Wing School and continued down Water St past the Grist Mill and up Grove St to Heritage Museums and Gardens, down Pine St and then back to the Wing by way of Main St. 

WQRC was there and Michelle Lorraine broadcast her show right from the starting line!  Mary White and other licensed, certified massage therapist were present to demonstrate the benefits of massage therapy in your fitness plan.   McDermott Glass Studio donated 20 hand-blown (gorgeous!) glass pumpkins as prizes in addition to cash prizes and many  wonderful gift certificates and cash donations from various establishments in Sandwich and on the Cape.  They were: Cape Cod Broadcasting. Prizes were awarded for the winners of the race, as well as for the best costume, best group costume, fastest runner in costume and fastest runners according to age.
