Membership

 When you become a member of Sandwich Community Television you join a network of individuals and organizations dedicated to fostering free speech through television and other electronic media.

Above all else, being a member of SCT means supporting the ideals that community access television stands for here in Sandwich Massachusetts. It allows residents to become an active part of the local community, and to see the world from a local perspective.

Membership at any level gives you the opportunity to participate in the governance of the station (i.e. eligibility to run for a position on the Board of Directors).
Many of our members are active producers who utilize our production resources, but many are not. Membership is open to all residents of Sandwich Massachusetts, regardless of whether you intend to produce programming.

Did you know that SCT uploads programs to PegMedia?  PegMedia is a media exchange portal that allows access stations to upload programs and share them with other access stations across the country. Thanks to PegMedia producers have more visibility, programming can branch out from Sandwich, to Cape Cod, to Western Mass or to the west coast! The opportunities are endless and limited only by your scope. To become a member, just call us at 508.888.6800 and we will mail you an application. Fill out the form, sign it and return it to Sandwich Community Television with your membership fee. You must be a resident of Sandwich or work in Sandwich to join.  You may also drop by the studio at 11 Jan Sebastian Way Suite 10 in the Sandwich Industrial Park and fill out an application.  You can tour the facility while you are there! 

If you intend to take classes and use Sandwich Community Television equipment and facilities to produce programming, you will need to attend a brief Orientation. At the orientation you will learn about classes and how to take advantage of the production resources we provide.  Orientation is not required for members who do not intend to produce programs using our equipment.

All members will receive Sandwich Community Television’s monthly e-newsletters.

Membership Levels and Benefits
Individuals:
•    Basic: ($25): Opportunity to participate in the governance of Community Television, mail delivery of all newsletters, eligibility to use the facilities and equipment of Sandwich Community Television.
•    Student: (with valid student ID) ($20)
Individuals, non-profit organizations, and small businesses:
•    Friend ($50): All the benefits listed above  and acknowledgment in Newsletter.
•    Donor ($100): All the benefits listed above, plus a  complimentary DVD copy of the SCT program of your choice.
•    Founder ($250): All the benefits listed above, plus a televised announcement made on your behalf (or for the charity or group of your choice), and a copy of the SCT program of your choice.
•    Sponsor ($500): All the benefits listed above, plus a free public service announcement (for the charity or group of your choice) that will be televised regularly on our channels.
•    Patron ($1,000): All the benefits listed above, plus a wall plaque at the facility with your name on it and sponsorship of an hour of prime-time     programming.
. If you intend to become an active producer, then you'll need to sign up for the free orientation or come by any Monday or Friday at 11AM and we will gladly show you around the new studio.  Signing up for membership is easy just give us a call at 508.888.6800. If you are not going to be taking classes or utilizing our production facilities then the orientation is not required.
